Organizers of the YEi Start in France – South Africa competition


The French Embassy in South Africa provides intergovernmental relations between the Government of the French Republic and the Government of the Republic of South Africa.
Its cooperation department fosters the bilateral cooperation in Science, Technology and Innovation between France and South Africa.http://www.ambafrance-rsa.org/-Science-Technology-



TIA is a South African national public entity that serves as the key institutional intervention to bridge the innovation chasm between research and development from higher education institutions, science councils, public entities, and private sector, and commercialisation.

The object of TIA is to support the State in stimulating and intensifying technological innovation in order to improve economic growth and the quality of life of all South Africans by developing and exploiting technological innovations.



RETIS, a French innovation network, is a non-profit organization dedicated to promote innovation actors and programs in France. Retis’ members include more than 100 Incubators, Business Innovation Centers (BIC), Sciences parks, and Competitiveness Clusters.

Retis’ missions are: lobbying, providing services to the members (training, expertise, counsel), developing entrepreneurship &; international innovation programs.
